Its use is crucial to advancing medical research, developing new treatments and improving care. However, legitimate concerns about confidentiality, strict regulations and ethical issues are holding back progress.<\/p>\n<p>Faced with this paradox, Tune Insight founders decided to act. They asked themselves a daring question: what if we could access knowledge without directly manipulating the data?<br \/>\nIn 2021 at EPFL&#8217;s Laboratory for Data Security, our four co-founders developed the foundations for a secure solution that combines homomorphic encryption, secure multiparty computation, differential privacy and federated learning.
