Tune Insight is participating in the European Sustronics (Sustainable and green electronics for circular economy) project, an ambitious research program bringing together 46 partners from 11 European countries. Spearheaded by Philips, this project seeks to rethink the electronics of tomorrow, placing sustainability, resource conservation, and the circular economy at the heart of electronic device development.
Sustronics encompasses a number of pilots in a range of fields. Tune Insight is contributing to one of the landmark projects under Pilot 3 – Smart Healthcare, focusing on the development of a smart wound dressing capable of monitoring wound status.

Smart wound dressings for better wound monitoring

This innovative device collects sensor data such as temperature and humidity at the wound site to evaluate healing. The data will ultimately allow healthcare professionals to decide if a dressing can be removed or should be left in place, reducing waste and improving care.
